J Livingston SQL - Thursday, January 12, 2017 7:46 AMwhere do I now find "My Posts" ?? personally I used to use this a lot to quickly get to some threads that I had replied in.....am sure it must be somewhere? 🙂
Click your name, then underneath your avatar there is a sub menu with Topics (For threads you have started) and Replies (For posts you've made in other topics). You can also click activity to get a breakdown per day it would seem (Shows other stuff other than posts too).

In profile, whatever I put in my Website link overrides what is in my blog link. (These are two different websites, but they are showing the same thing).

Thom A - Thursday, January 12, 2017 7:15 AMThis quote with Code Tags inside has gone a bit wonky. Looks like all the Line breaks were lost inside the quoted SQL: https://www.sqlservercentral.com/Forums/1849258/Using-a-DR-Script-with-Encrypted-backups
Looks as though something's gone a bit wonky with the URL handler here too. It all looks OK in the code and in the editor, but when looking at the published version it takes me to https://www.sqlservercentral.com/Forums/1849962/SSC-Forum-Updates?PageIndex=5 rather than https://www.sqlservercentral.com/Forums/1849258/Using-a-DR-Script-with-Encrypted-backups

Seems to match what you posted initially (I tried to upload a screenshot of it but it seemed to freeze, don't know whether it's an issue with the new software or our work's internet being useless!)
Might be a Firefox (50.1.0) thing then. Screenshot attached.

Borked in Chrome too. The code is fine in the first message in the thread, but in the second one (the one where the code block is quoted in a quote), it's not so good...

Might just be worth a force-refresh (or incognito mode) as we popped in a couple of CSS changes to fix the wrapping issues earlier?

Gave it a couple CTRL+F5, no effect on Firefox.Just tried and I get the same problem on IE 11.0.9600.18537 (KB3203621) though, and that's probably the first (and last) time I've visited the site using Internet Explorer on my office PC.

Ah, I see it now. The first quoting of the post (https://www.sqlservercentral.com/Forums/FindPost1849258.aspx) looks OK; the second (Perry's reply, https://www.sqlservercentral.com/Forums/FindPost1850069.aspx) is the problem.

There are two issues in the post above:
1. On my screen the word wrap is bad (probl on one line, em on the next). I thought I saw a message that this was fixed?
2. Both links fail because the forum software thinks that the close parenthesis is part of the URL

1) Yes, it should be fixed - but we didn't cache bust the CSS so you might need to forcibly refresh - sorry!
2) Yes, spotted this having posted it; got it as a bug that we need to investigate.
Thanks,
Rob

You are right. I missed the requirement to force refresh. Looks okay now.
Thanks!

Yep - didn't see the reply (Oops...). Looks the same on the reply from here too Thom, so disregard my earlier posts saying it was OK!

James Billings - Redgate - Thursday, January 12, 2017 6:38 AMDamianC - Thursday, January 12, 2017 6:25 AMNew layout just taking a bit of getting used to but will get there - seems to be quite a bit of white space.
Less spam!
Seems slower although will give it a few more days
Think searching mechanism (incl. latest, popular, unread) could do with a parent category (SQL2016, 2012 etc...)
Where's the ability to search for 'my posts' gone?
How do you quote multiple people?
Is there a tutorial anywhere?Thanks
Hi Damian.
Thanks for the feedback. A couple of things... to Search, click the menu at top right, and pick the search option. That will give you a more advanced search:To quote multiple people, click the little "+" button next to each reply you want to quote, and they will all be added to your post:
Hope that helps
James
Thanks James
Is it updating everything?
For example, my participation in the thread is not showing up in my list of posts
