I have two measures in a cube (SSAS 2008)
e.g.
[Measure]
[Measure LastNonEmpty]
one aggregates using sum, and the other uses LastNonEmpty
I use a scope statement to overwrite [Measure] with the value of [Measure LastNonEmpty] at the leaf level and then use [Measure] in calculations so that it sums up across other dimensions.
This works fine for all of my role playing date dimensions, but not for the main date dimension. It appears to ignore the scope statement when I override the value. The scope statement doesn't include any reference to any of the date dimensions.
My default date dimension is at the top of the list of dates in the Dimension Usage section of BIDS and is definitely linked to the fact. It is linked by a DateId which links to one of the role playing dimensions as well. (The calculation works fine with the role player).
I hope that all makes sense, has anyone got any ideas why this might be happening, 'cos I'm at a dead end!
Thanks,
Pete

Hi Grasshopper,
Did you find a solution? 🙂

Unfortunately not...I moved on to other complicated things and left that problem to stew on its own for a while 😉
