Hi there
Been working on an issue for a couple of days which has us stumped. I'm a DBA with little cube design knowledge and OK SSAS admin skills. The devs have explained that they migrate a cube to a new server and since then they are getting unpredictable results with the drill through actions on the cube. They are using the 'additional actions' feature in excel - on Server A, they get a list of 10 drill through actions, on Server B, only 2 drill through actions. Same cube, same data set. Tried different ways of copying the cube across to other test environments - scripting, backup/restore, project deployment... instance level settings are the same, security the same, but only works on the one environment. For the life of us we cannot figure out why... it would make more sense if none of the drill through actions worked, why just the two? Any tips from you SSAS experts out there??
Thanks

Figured it out guys - it was referencing an external assembly! Once the dll was deployed to the SSAS server, it all worked as expected 🙂
