Would like to access an SSAS cube from Performance Point or Sharepoint to create a Sharepoint version of a report. I have heard about webparts, would like to use them to make sharepoint report interactive. Can anyone assist or give me some pointers ?

Its as easy as pie...

In essence, you will need the following:
1. SSAS Cube
2. Sharepoint with performance point service
3. Unattended service account
4. Secure Store Proxy with Generated Key
5. Associate the unattended service account with your new application pool.
