RSS is growing in popularity as a way to access news lately. We're not sure yet how it fits into our goals and strategy for the site, but we thought we'd give it a test run to see what the response from the members would be (and to see if our code worked!).
If you're not familiar with RSS, you can see the spec at http://backend.userland.com/rss, plus some links to apps that 'aggregate' news feeds. I tried http://www.feedreader.com, free, not bad. Doesn't work at work going through ISA Server, that I can figure out anyway.
Anyway, bottom line is that it's a fairly simple XML file that we'll update each day and that news apps can poll so that you can see when new content is available. If you'd like to try it, the address is http://www.sqlservercentral.com/sscrss.xml .
Keep in mind it's BETA! Please post any problems, comments, if you tried it even.
Thanks!
Andy

On my list to do this weekend, but I have to build my stylesheet to add to my website. BTW, is Eurgeeka officially dead?

THANK YOU for implementing RSS capability.
This features is exactly what I had been seeking. I really enjoy the SQLServerCentral.com resources; however, the frequency of your newsletters yields a bit of information overload relative to other less frequent, sometimes more linear tech resouces.
With RSS, I've been able to continue my subscription which I would have otherwise unsubscribed only to check back periodically.
My guess is that if you implement it in your META's and add the RSS icon in your newsletters and home-page, you'll see a huge acceptance.
Thanks again!
