there are no viruses in the puzzle. the clues are encrypted using a script. i am not sure why your antivirus is blocking? this is the first post on something like this. i just verified again with McAfee's latest version. no issues there. sorry, could not help.

Ravi,

BitDefender didn't actually prevent the puzzle from loading and working. As far as I can tell, it just quarantined something that was traveling along with it.

I know you from other forums, and wasn't thinking you were doing anything malicious, but I felt like I had to post this.

I haven't investigated it any further. I know it could be a bogus message, but I have never gotten a false alarm in the 2 years I've been using BitDefender. If I find out more, I'll post back.

Thanks Tom. I would appreciate it, just like you said, if you could post, why it triggerred your bitdefender after further observation. btw, no body has similar experience like yours on the first crossword puzzle, i have authored here. you may want to check that too. if it triggers your bitdefender again, that will conclude being a false alarm. I used the same script to encrypt the clues in that one too.

Interesting. It caught it coming and going(when i hit the Back button). It identified this one as Crossword1(1).htm.

Funny thing is, I remember doing that puzzle when it came out, and there was no alarm then. It was also a heck of a lot easier.

HI All,

I love this puzzle idea it's great.

I have a suggestion that if you want to blank our something that you have typed in that you have to put in 10 spaces if it's a 10 letter word, can we not just leave it blank and have the word blanked out?

Chris, i suppose you can leave it blank,then, what is the fun? it is a brain teaser, just search online books for sql server or google to get some answers. once you do search, you remember the answer for ever and am sure you will get a feeling of accomplishment. if you do complete the puzzle you will qualify for a prize from publisher.

I enjoyed doing the puzzle. I'm not a DBA per-say and so it was fun to see how many I could get on my own and how many answers I could get with additional research. I was happy at how many I could get on my own. However, even with lots of research, I still couldn't get all the answers.

To keep the puzzle fun and the level of question about where it is, I would not do it too often. Maybe once a quarter or even twice a year. Just my 2 cents.

Also, if I get one answer wrong and realize it after getting another answer in the puzzle, I need to be able to erase the first answer. It wasn't clear how to do that. I think the above postings tried to address that issue by saying to put in spaces, but I'm not sure I understood the above postings.

That's my feedback.
