Hello Team,
How to solve below error and may i know the reason why it happens
The subscription(s) have been marked inactive and must be reinitialized. NoSync subscriptions will need to be dropped and recreated. (Source: MSSQLServer, Error number: 21074)
Thanks in advance

The subscriber is out of sync for more than transaction retention period( default 72 hours). This is the reason for marking subscriber inactive. You have to reinitilize the subscription to sync with. You can check the transaction retention period by right click on replication folder and select 'Distributor properties' and can see transaction retention period values.
Thanks
Jo

No.. it is completely based on your requirement. For example if your subscriber is going to be down for more than 72 hours then you can change this value. But important thing is the distributor database has to store the transactions upto that long hours, then the distribution DB size will increase. My suggestion is the default value is fine unless it is highly required.
