Hello, Anybody out there, pl'z send in some replies as soon as possible. My SQL Server is not starting and I get a error message like this
A connection could not be established to(local)
Reason: SQL Server does not exist or access denied.
ConnectionOpen(Connect())...
Please verify SQL Server is running and check your SQL Server registration properties (by right clicking on the (local)node and try again.

Hello,
What status does the SQL Windows Service have (in Computer Management)? Do you have any errors written to the Windows Event Log? What account does the SQL Service Run under? Has the password just been changed, or is the account locked out?

Can you open the services manager and try to start the SQL Service. If it gives an error, please note exactly what error it gave. Also check the SQL error log, see if there's anything useful there.
What tool are you using to connect to the server? Enterprise manager?
