sqlserver 2005 services not staring

    Hi,

    I was changing some settings in my sql server 2005 Configuration manager. Settings like Enabling TCP/IP, so change of settings asked me to restart the sql server. BUT when i have stopped and then tried to start it its giving me the folwing ERROR:

    "The request failed or the service did not respond in a timely fashion.

    Consult the event log or other applicable error logs for details."

    Is anybody tell me why i am getting this error, whereas my sql server is running under Local System account????

    Its urgent. Please reply....

    Try to enable "Shared memory" and "named Pipes" Protocols incase you havent ... If you have then also start TCP/IP and check to see if the service give the error.
