Hello all.
Is is possible to set up a fail over cluster on virtual machine environment ?
Could any body point to me to any decent reference.

Yes it is possible in VMWare Server (and I assume as well in Microsoft's tech as well) as I have set this up in a lab. I do not however have an article, I would search google and you should be able to find a guide. Thats what I did, and was able to find step by step guides.
If you are using 2003 in VMWare you setup 2 virtual machines and a shared disks. The shared disks are configured by modifiing the config files as it can not be configure directly through the gui interface. Basically after setting up a disk on one virtual machine, you modifiy the config on the other to also point to that disk. In 2008 you can not do it in this shared disk fashion, as the Microsoft OS does not support that. Instead you will need to use the Microsoft ISCSI connector/initiator method to share a drive or some other method that supports SCSI-3 protocol (if i remember correctly). I used a product by Starwind for testing that allowed me to mount a drive as an ISCSI device from another machine and used the Microsoft ISCSI initiator to connect to it from each of the clustered machines.
