Im trying to run SQLDiag against a server that is the primary node in an alwaysOn configuration.
Im on SQL Server Enterprise 2014, SP1.
When i run it i get the following error:
SQLDIAG Error enumerating virtual servers. Is your SQL Server Instance clustered?
SQLDIAG There are no instances of version 12 on this computer.
Function Result: 87. Message: the parameter is incorrect.
I tried changing the sqldiag config xml file to reference the Availability group name, then the server name and finally the cluster name (even though the instance is not clustered).
Same result each time.
Anyone experience this and any ideas on resolution?

It looks as though ou need to install a CU: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3093869
Edit: although that relates to 2012. Still, what patch level are you on?

I saw that KB article which mentioned that if i was on SQL 2012 i needed a CU or SP1.
Im running SQL 2014 SP1 so i dont think that should be an issue.
