SQL2K8 R2 - Express Edition SSMS not display

    1. In 64 bit WIN OS server, I installed SQL2K8 R2 Express Edition, By using SQLFULL_x64_ENU.exe

    2. After that installed SSMS by using SQLManagementStudio_x64_ENU.exe

    3. Restarted the Machine, but SSMS not display at Program Files-> Micosoft SQL Server 2008 R2-> SSMS not there.

    Please tell me, any patches required for SSMS for SQL2K8 Expression Edition.

    Have you tried start>run>ssms.exe

    yes, I tried ssms.exe at command line,

    Error is - Windows cannot find ssms.exe.

    Try downloading and installing the file once more.

    You can check you event viewer to see if there were any errors raised during the installation.

    SSMS is available only ofr x86 and x64 systems not for IA64

    I think you have installed the DATABASE engin but not managment tools,

    try the Jayanth_Kurup's comment.
