SQL2K replication accross WAN

    I want to connfigure a SQL 2000 database to replicate across a T1 wan link only the changes each night to a backup SQL database. What is the best replication type to use and what issues should i expect wiht the WAN link being involved? The changes will not be large each day. maybe 50mb

    Thanks for any suggestions

    I'd go for merge replication since several updates of the same record will result in just one update at the subscriber. Transactional replication would create a lot more traffic.

    About the WAN link I don't see any problems. I run replication over lot's of WAN links and most of them a lot slower than T1.
