Hi,
We are trying to load SQL 2008 x64 on a Windows 2008 x64 machine. In the setup it is asking for a domain account. Our Active Directory Administrator has an account we currently use for one other server(x64-2008). For some reason, the account will not pass the initial setup screen during installation.
Is there a KB article somewhere, I googled but it took me to many other places!!
What are the required settings for the SQL server domain service account on a Windows x64 box?
thanks,

None really, as long as it is not locked and you know the password. (Log on as a service is granted during installation I think.) Check that the server has joined the domain correctly - take it off and back on if necessary. Check that there is no domain policy pertaining to that user account and the server's computer account. In Active Directory, your admin has to right click on the user account and enable 'Account is Trusted for Delegation'
