hello,
i have a question about sql installation,i have an OLP but was ordered today and doesn`t appear in my account(and seems like eopen it`s closed until sunday and i need to be installed until tomorrow)i want to install 180 trial but i don`t understand if i can downgrade to standard edition when i will have the license without affect the database or uninstall/instal.....just overwrite current instalation(i don`t have experience with sql)
if you know something about this please share it

You can upgrade from Sql Server 2005 trial edition to Sql 2005 enterprise edition without uninstalling. Refer this article for performing the same,

But for performing the upgrade from trial to standard you need to uninstall it and then reinstall std as Microsoft has recommended the same. If your still interested you can backup all your databases and then try the upgrade directly to std edition which may or may not work.

Just an update: I read the below thread and came to know that it is possible to perform the upgrade from Sql Server evaluation edition to Standard edition without the need for uninstalling the evaluation edition,
