SQL2005 Email Issue

  • Hello,

    Can anyone tell me why I can send all the test emails I want from SQL2005 but never receive any email from my maintenance plan?

    The maintenance plan has notification enabled and an email account has been selected.

    Since I can send test emails I’m thinking that I’ve missed something with the maintenance plan.

  • Although I can send test email I still needed to perform the following task to enable notification:

    - Right click SQL Server Agent, select properties

    - From the SQL Agent properties page select the Alert System page

    - Ensure that the Enable Mail Profile box is checked ( I had missed this settings).

    - Re-ran my test successfully.
