I have installed several SQL2000 clients on NT 4.0 machines that also have SQL 6.5 client with no problems.
I have 2 develpers with SQL 6.5 client that I installed SQL2000 client on. Installation went smoothly. They can map a network drive to the server, and I have checked their rights/permissions. I can not register the SLQ2000 instances in Enterprise Manager and when I go to SQL Analyzer, the ... box does not see any of the SQL2000 instances. The NT workstations always see the instances broadcasted on the network. In both cases, the NT/Win98 are in the sane domains.
Where do I start looking?
Thank you,

Maybe double check the MDAC, I currently use 2.6.

EM relies on proper installed COM objects. On the other hand, Query Analizer may manually conect to any server if you can type the server's name correctlly, because it may use simple dlls (except the ... button as you may guessed)
