What are the current training trends for SQL server professionals? Currently, I am working with SQL 2005, developing database elements and SSIS packages and would like to take some more classes to update my skills. Could you please advice what are the best training topics and instructors for SQL server developers/administrators?
Thanks for your advices,

Training trends... Not sure. I'd be interested to see what others say about this. As to where to get training, I can make a couple of very good suggestions. In no particular order, I'd look into the following companies:
End To End Training. Great bunch of guys. A lot of knowledge. I'm pretty sure they travel, but most of their work is done in Orlando FL.
Solid Quality Mentors. My company has Itzik Ben Gan in to teach his course about once a year. I've taken it myself twice. They've also got a bunch of other very skilled trainers.
SQL Skills. Paul Randal & Kimberly Tripp. What else can I say.

I'm not sure there are training trends as there just isn't a lot of variety in classes. There are specific classes on certain topics, but not enough people attend them to say what's "best".
I think you ought to look at what you do for your job, or what's needed, and build those skills. you can also look in your area at job ads and determine what's in demand.
