I have a need to check a table count within my SSIS package and to send a mail to notify the DBA only if the record count is greater than 800 000.
Here is what I have done so far
In SQL Task include Query:-
select count(*) from dbo.A
In ParameterMapping tab
Variable Name : A::Count
Data type : Numeric
Parameter : @Count
In the Precendence Constraints Task
Evaluation Operation: Expressions
Expressions : @Count>"800 000"
Tested -OK !
In Send Mail Task
Specified the SMTP Connection
Upon executing....No error message appears.The count of A table is greater than 800 000, but the Send mail task does not change color to "green" and no mail is received.
Can someone let me know where Im going wrong ?
