Sql Sever Installation

    I can see microsoft sql server 2000 in add/remove programs but not in services. I thought that the sql server is not installed on my machine by above two things. Is there any better way to check if the sql server 200 is installed on my machine.

    If you can see it in programs, but not in services, likely you've only installed the client tools.

    Look for file named master.mdf on local drives. If it's there, you may have SQL Server installed locally.

    If not there, you probably don't.
