Does anyone know where I can get the exact dates of when SQL Server 6.5 and 7 came out? Also, what products were there before 6.5 ? Thank you.

I don't know 6.5 release but I know 7.0 was late 1998, both products are like day and night and not related, that almost killed the MCDBA program because the books were crappy 6.5 based while the exams were BOL(books online) based which Microsoft was selling for $100.00. I know I have seen a London based link that covered 6.0 but before that it was 4.2 from Sybase. The 7.0 was without Sybase code because it was a new code base. I have a link from Microsoft but the second is more important because Pike knows the product when most of us don't. Post again if you still have question. Hope this helps.
