Does anybody know what Microsoft's position on GRID computing that is being used in the new release of Oracle?

I don't recall this being mentioned with Yukon. MS has seemingly gone back to the "scale up" strategy. There was a vendor that was building hardware boxes that would split out a db and run it from RAM, almost linearly scaling, but not sure how well the works. Brian Knight is supposed to spend some lab time looking at that.

I've heard about a company offering something like that:

I don't know if it's worth to consider it, at least it looks nice on the marketing paper.
If somebody has tried out in a real production site (like SAP or so) with huge databases then it would be good to hear from
