SQL Server workgroup features

  • I have just been looking at the feature list on the website shown below. I am looking at implementing a reporting services solution on workgroup edition, however a couple of things have alerted me on this website.

    http://www.microsoft.com/sql/prodinfo/features/compare-features.mspx

    1) Under the Business Intelligence section there is a "Data Warehousing", which isnt ticked for Workgroup. It seems like quite a generic heading and no description as in which part of data warehousing cant be performed! Does anyone know?

    2) SSIS Integration Services is not included. Does this only mean that i cant design and run packages on that server? Would i still be ok designing and running the packages from our main SQL box (standard ed)?

    3) HTTP Endpoints are not allowed in Workgroup. Would this interfere in any way in allowing reporting services to be accessible via the web (by opening up IIS on the box).

Sorry for all the questions, just dont want to scrimp on license costs and then realise what i have wont do the job!

    Thanks

    John
