SQL Server Training

    Hi All,

    I am looking for SQL Server Database Administration and Design classes/hands-on practice in New York.

    I have seen these three training providers:

    http://www.learningtree.com

    http://www.netcominfo.com

    Do any body knows about these training provider skills and which one is better please.

    1.If you know any school where i can take regular classes please let me know.

    2.If you know any good hands-on training provider please let me know.

    I am currently working as a SQL Server DBA but want to enhance my skills.I have very little knowledge of windows administration knowledge but in sql server i have 4 hours exp.

    You should avoid trainingcamp because their schedule may not teach anything to even the experienced, learningtree prices seem better if there is an instructor and the last is using MOC(Microsoft official curriculum) so you may learn the most and it will cost the most. So you could go with learningtree or just buy SQL Server developer under $50 online and hang here.

    Is that true? I cannot believe you could/should be a DBA with 4 hours experience, definitely not at a production level.

    Yes i do and i know a lot of things but i want to go through a to z as i am having random knowledge mostly dba side not design/dev side which i want to.

    They are like the last one in your original list which can cost you at least $3000 to $10,000.

    Sorry, I have no experience with the online training ites. I went to a couple of basic instructor-led sessions years go. The laid a little bit of the foundation but your true teacher is going to be hands-on. As Gift stated, get the developer's edition, maybe a couple of good SQL books and hang on tight. You're never going to get a-to-z in real life. There is always something new that's going to come up and you'll have to work through it, probably using sites like these to find the right answer.     You're ahead of me. When I'd been working with database for 4 hours, I didn't even know that it was called "DBA". Or is that "hours" supposed to be "years"?
