SQL Server trace with Missing Column Statistics

    Getting events in the default trace saying missing column statistics on a column...

    1.The column is the primary key column ( identity )

    Getting events in the default trace saying missing column statistics on a column...

    1.The column is the primary key column ( identity ), with a primary key

    2. Auto Create statistics is ON

    3. Auto Update statistics is ON

    SQL Server 2012 enterprise edition.

    Any thoughts would be very helpful as I am at a complete loss here.

    I'm also noticing the same issue. My default trace has thousands of entries for 'Missing Column Statistics'. Which I'm not sure is an issue or not - hopefully someone here can help enlighten me.

    FYI - I also have verified that Auto Create and Update stats are set to True.
