Why does a PC (that is connected to a WAN and SQL Server) when left in an idle state, does it crash the application that's using the sql server? Retransmission packets are sent until it fails?? It seems to be a TDS packet that can't get through.
We seem to be getting userenv errors too in the Event Viewer also? Any ideas
THANKS FOR YOUR HELP.

Hi,
I am confused after reading your post. I am not able to make up what extactly you are trying to ask. Normally if your PC is on WAN and has a application opened which is at the back end using SQL Server and in case there are some glitches in network then definately it will break connectivity with the application. During the time one will see some TDS packet error messages. I am hoping this is the time you are seeing USERENV errors in Event Logs.
Same session will not work and we have to exit it and open a new session.
I hope this will help else please let me know.
Regards
GURSETHI

Can you copy and paste the error from the event viewer to here?
Thanks.
