Dear All,
My sqlserver service is not getting started. In the Service Manager, I have given the Servername, Service as SQL Server. And when I click Start, it is not getting started. It shows the following error message.
"The Service did not start due to logon failure"
"An error (1069). The service did not start due to an logon failure) occured when performing the service operation on the MSSQLServer Service"
Im using Window 2000 Advanced Server and MS SQL Server 2000.
Whether is it necessary to reinstall again? How to proceed, plz tell me...
Thanx in advance.
Regards,
R, Sathya Moorthy

Check what account (windows account) you are using to run sql server service. It seems that someone changed the password. Try another account or local system account.
