Hi Guys
came around with some issue when sql agent taking everyday back up at 12 AM.So when it finish back on sunday sql server goes off and have to start manually.
So any sugetions why what would be the reason?
and what are the options to set up sql server gets start automatically ?

That is very strange. SQL Server itself would not do this. Are you sure that there is no code that would tell the SQL Server service to stop every Sunday? (Maybe it's a bad script to cleanup hanging transactions).
Also, do check the error logs - if SQL Server encountered an error, it would be logged in there.

best would be to search / post your sqlserver Errorlog file ( maybe even your sqlagent.out file)
( also have a look at the Errorlog.1 and Errorlog.2 files because they contain the info from the previous sqlserver startup until shutdown - same goes for sqlagent.1, ...)

Is the process run nightly and only Sunday failed? If so, like everyone else said, hit the logs and look for the cause. If not, look to the process.

You might want to look for a shutdown command while you're at it. However unlikely it could explain the issue.
