I just upgraded my XP with Service Pack 2. My sql server has never been updated. Should I jump right into Service Pack 4 or are there some intermediate steps that I need to take?
Thanks~

go straight forward to sp4, gon't go to start, you'll not receive 2000 startmoney
MS servicepacks are cumulatively.

Thank you. I tried to do that but the install generated an error. There are 4 exe's that comprise SP4. Analysis Services, MSDE, etc. Do I need them all? Is there an order to them? There are also a bunch of ReadMe's. Do I need to read them all?

You only need the SP for the SQL Server for the base product. The MSDE one is for MSDE installations only. The AS one is for the Analysis Services product if you have it installed.
Also, there is an issue with AWE I know of with SP4. If you run AWE, DO NOT install this and stick with 3a.
