Hi to all.
The proplem:
I had replication set up and running between two different windows 2000 server domains using trusts.
The domain controller and the sql server 2000 were on the same machine.
Then in one of the domains the domain controller was removed to a different server namely on a new windows 2003 server and set as the primary domain controller. The old windows 2000 server was to function as a secondary domain controller.
Since then replication stoped functioning and Im trying to set up again.
When I logon with the the same user name that was used to run the sqlservice on both the sql servers and try to register the database from one domain onto the other I get an error "Login failed for user '(null)'. Reason: Not associated with a trusted SQL connection"
In the one of the domains on the sql server I could see the databases from both domains, but in the other domain I can not register one of the databases.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance
George

Have you verified the trust relationships between the two domains? Is anything else being affected, such as access to file shares, etc.?

Hi Brian,
I have the same user name and password in both domains. From the one server, through remote connection I can login with that user name and password, then through the network servises I search and find the other domain. I try to open and see the shares, but on the one serve I could do that but I cannot from the other one. Is that related to trusts?
Thanks for any answer
George
