SQL server R2 Intellisense Stopped working

    My intellisense used to work until yesterday. But it stopped working today.

    There were no installations made on that server. Also I tried to enable it from tools->options and restarted my system. No luck. Any help is highly appreciated.

    Hi,

    I have had same problem as you a couple of moths ago. As i wasn't really content with intellisense anyway, i looked for an alternative and i found SQL Complete[/url] a free plugin and so far i am quite content with it.

    I had the same issue a while back and this got fixed after installing SQL 2008 R2 SP1. Here is the related links-

    remember it only works when you connect to a SQL 2008 or greater instance.

    IMHO, SSMS Intellisense doesn't work very well.

    There are a couple of free alternatives available, such as ApexSql's Sql intellisense tool.

    Admittedly, you don't always have a choice but to work with what you've got due to software installation restrictions and so on in some shops.
