  Hi,

  When I check the operating system for my SQL Server 2017 instance in the Properties of Server Properties it is showing Microsoft Windows NT 6.3 (14393) instead of Windows Server 2016 Standard (10.0)?

  What is the reason for this?

  That's just how the releases are referred to: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Microsoft_Windows_versions

  I find it a bit unhelpful myself.
