Hi Friends,
I am a bit confused between domain and workgroup.
What is the limitations if we run out windows boxes on workgroup (from SQL server point of view)
and what Microsoft SQL Server best practice says - our servers should be on domain or workgroup.
If i move my servers from domain to workgroup - what is the proc and cons?

Joining a server to a windows domain provides centralisation of uses and resources.
Computers in a workgroup require users and objects to be maintained locally on each machine. When providing access from one computer to another it increases the effort and management of the compiters and resources (printers, users, shares, etc).

Nothing to do with MS best practice, if you don't have a Windows Server domain then you only have workgroup option.
A SQL server may be secured whether on a domain or in a workgroup.
