SQL Server not using all available memory

    @Shawn, after rereading the topic is understand you are thinking my server was the same server as Jasons. Sorry, i should have stated that mine is another. I have 6GB memory and /PAE enabled, so ISS and RC are not likely to steal from the 2GB memory of SQLServer's address space. I merely was interested why he stick at 1,7GB and now i know. Thxs

  • I'm also running into this issue. I've been searching for a while now and can't seem to find why SQL Server can't use more than 1.6 gb of memory. This article comes close. If 384mb is reserved, does that explain target server memory in Performance Monitor showing max 1.6gb and task manager process sticks at 1.6gb?
