Hi All,
I have a SQL 2000 test installation and at the moment, I would like to change the server name, change the IP address and also change the domain in which the server sits on. I have created test users as follows [MSA/Jack],[MSA/Abigail] etc. Do these logins need to be dropped and recreated for the new domain name or is there an easier way out.
Can anyone inform me of the important steps that would need to be taken into account when performing these changes?
Thanks in advance.

It's not a such simple task as it may look. You should read a lot in order to do everything in a right way. Also it depends on what configuration do you have. The following couple links should give you a good start possition:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/292541
http://www.sqlservercentral.com/columnists/bknight/renameserver.asp
http://www.karaszi.com/SQLServer/info_change_server_name.asp

Hope this helps

Good links above and you'll certainly have some downtime when you do this, so plan for that.
I'd be sure you tackle things in stages. Personally I'd rename the server first since that's the easiest. Changing IPs is pretty easy too, but do them in separate steps, meaning change one thing, then test and be sure you can connect, the continue on.
