What things do I need to consider if I want to migrate my sql server 2000 server to sql server 2005 which will be in another domain?
It would be fine if someone can point me to a link or summarise some
important points that needs to be considered.

Do one or the other first, not together. You're asking for issues.
The 2000->2005 item needs testing for keyword change. You can upgrade to 2005, running in 80 compatability mode, which makes it a bit easier.
For the domains, security will change for Windows logins. You need to have trust or move those accounts to the new domain. If you are using SQL auth, no issues.

Steve, Thanks for your prompt reply. Yep I was asking for some major bullet points that need to be considered prior to migration.
I got that from ur reply(windows authenticated logins stuff). I will do it one by one first install a new instance on other domain and will then ask AD guys to take care of login stuff at domain level so that I can have the same guys accessing the new server without any issues.
I don't think there is anything else that I need to worry about.
Thanks
MJ
