Sql Server Manager Won't Start...

  • Hey guys,

Any idea why the sql server manager won't start ... I mean that I can't run the sql server agent to enabled me to connect to the db. I tried to restart my server many many times but it still fails...

If I configure the agent to auto start when the OS starts...I can't even click on the "start/continue" button coz..coz it's arleady disabled but the agent is not running.

    please help...Thanks in advance

  • Hi!

Go to Administrative Tools and go to Services, verify if the SQLSERVERAGENT is Disabled. If yes, go to the properties of this service and put it to automatic. Verify the others services of SQL Server too (MSSQLSERVER), if this service is disabled too,put it in automatic.
