1.are sql server and sql agent both running under same account or not..
I checked agent properties connection it is a sa account and where do I check for SQL Server?
2.Also check , if the C2 trace is on by default agian.
it is not checked.
3.Also in the sql server agent, properties-->
the service state both should be checked.
yes, they checked
Also some of my db located on the seperate drive then other we have 5gb left, could that cause a problem?
Thank you
February 8, 2011 at 10:46 am
C drive has default all the sql server files, make sure that it has minimum 10-15% free space.
To check the domain account,
On hte remote server, go to administrative tools--> services -->sql server --> right click --> properties
click log on tab and there you can see the account on wich its running...
see the same for sql server agent...
Also, have you recently changed the sa password?

The issue that my admin re strted sql agent in the 730 a.m and for some reason sql agent was shut down between 730 and 956. I also just found out that sql agent is running under not sysadmin account and when I go to server properies is checked under local system account
February 8, 2011 at 11:38 am
The SQLAGENT.* file which has a modified date of <=7:30 should have information how the SQL Server Agent was stopped.
If the Agent was not running under Local System account earlier, someone would have changed it.
