SQL Server Integration Service is missing from SQL Server Configuration Manager

  • I have a developer working on SSIS packages and needs the SQL Server Integration Service Started because his packages didn't run over the weekend. I looked and SQL Server Integration Service is not available to start from SQL Server Configuration Manager. How can I install this service? This is a clustered server and I don't want to screw anything up. I thought I did a complete installation but I'm not sure why this piece of SQL Server would be missing. This is SQL 2005 STD ED with SP2 installed.

  • Just to update this post, Here is the message that is received from the job history:

  • SSIS cannot be clustered, but making some adjustments, it might be possible according to this: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms345193.aspx
