SQL Server Installation Through Command Prompt

  • Hi SQL Experts,

We need to install SQL Server from command line. I can do this using below one:

    Setup.exe /q /ACTION=Install /FEATURES=SQL /INSTANCENAME=MSSQLSERVER /SQLSVCACCOUNT="<DomainName\UserName>" /SQLSVCPASSWORD="<StrongPassword>" /SQLSYSADMINACCOUNTS="<DomainName\UserName>" /AGTSVCACCOUNT="NT AUTHORITY\Network Service" /IACCEPTSQLSERVERLICENSETERMS

This will install the sql server in C: drive or where ever OS is installed.

But I need to change the location of SQL Server Installation to D:\.

Can anyone please help me here? Ypur help is much appreciated!!

    Thanks in advance,

    Raghavender.

    Thank You.

  • You can also create unattended installation using .iss files

MCITP SQL 2005, MCSA SQL 2012

  • You may want to look at FineBuild. The latest version for SQL Server 2008 now also supports cluster installs.
