SQL Server Installation in Azure

    Hello everyone,

    We are working on setup of Azure in our environment.Azure VMs are already provisioned.Because of licesing limitations, we are not using platform provided SQL server image.We would need to install SQL server separately.

    Can anyone please guide me with the steps to install SQL server independently(we have the binaries).I am seeking help for any best practices we have to follow or any pre-requisities for the installation and connectivity.

    Please advise.

    I know this is 2 months old but nobody has replied to you... I think you will probably need to go down the sysprep route (your customised SQL image) which you will do locally and then upload to Azure.
