Hi,
Today morning I was informed that the Full text search is not working on one server. We have only one full text search on this server. I recreated the catalog and added the table again, but it still does not work. I tried creating a test table and create a full text search on this one, but it still does not work. When I try the same thing on one of my test machine it gets created and works properly. I do not get any errors on the prioduction.
When I compare the test and production, I observed that in the catalog properties the Unique key count and Item count is 0 for production, where as for test I have values in it.
This full text search was working properly till few days back. Last week our network admin had applied windows patches. I am not sure if that broke anything.
The server is windows server 2008 and sql server 2008.
I checked the Full text service and restarted it number of times, having different account settings. but it still does not work.
Can anyone let me know what the issue would be?

Hi,
I have more to add to my previous post. I looked into my error logs and found this error msg."Failed to map 16777216 bytes of contiguous memory". This message is recorded everytime I am trying to do something with my full text index, either repopulating it or creating a new one.
Last week we added more memory to the server and increased the memory from 8 gig to 24 gig. That's when the problem has started. Can someone suggest how the two are related.
Would appreciate if someone can help me solve it. If I find the answer I will post it.
Regards,

It sounds like you need to run diagnostics on your new memory.
