  Hi All

   your suggestions /comments/ thoughts would be great?

   

  what is the best preferred way of having a email client on your sql box so that the sql operator can be notified of %whatever% happens on your sql box, our network has had net send de-activated.

   and useing a pager, umm never been down that road.

   

   so if anyone has any suggestions please let me know thanks

  if you got a smtp gateway that could reply smtp messages you cound use an extended stored procedure using xpsmtp80.dll

  search on the web for the dll and your'll find more info

  we tend to use this on sql clusters instead of sqlmail where i work
