my sql server 7 stopped working suddenly.
the error is "SQL Server does not exist or access denied", when i try to connect Server.
Please suggest solutions urgently

It is possible that the SQL service is stopped or that even the server itself has crashed. What I would do in your situation is try to log on to the server to see if SQL is running. If not, I would try to start it. Look at Event Viewer and the SQL logs for related error messages. I don't know how large your shop is, but maybe you have a network administrator who can help.

What tool are you using to connect to SQL Server? I think that information will help people find a solution.

Depending on your network setup, have you tried pinging?

Try re-installing MDAC, hope that will fix this issue.
