SQL Server Documentation and Security Standards, Meta Data, etc.

  • We are in the process of putting together some SQL Server Standards, for example, standards for table names, column names, etc. We want to include some standards on SQL Security also. That would be SQL Security and security for web applications. One of my co-workers had mentioned using a central repository to store meta data into a Data Warehouse. I am trying to perform some research on SQL Standards. (This tasks is outside of my normal sql programming job.) If any of you have any suggestions, ideals, past examples or places to search on the Internet that you can pass on to me I would greatly appreciate it.

  • Not knowing what your specific needs are for standards I suggest look at this thread for a common theme answer. http://www.sqlservercentral.com/forums/shwmessage.aspx?forumid=9&messageid=108092#bm108121
