I have just tripped up on a lovely SQL feature which no matter what I try doesn’t seem to do anything…..
When I built the Servers I was extra careful in checking that the Servers were set to English British but for some reason SQL has other ideas
I have run the “SET Language British” option on the Master databases of all my servers an that seems to have done the trick but when I check the properties of the server it still shows English (United States)… how can I change this

i think you have to change default collation for this server to have Language = BritishEnglish. go to this path & need to run rebuildm.exe.
Install Path = D:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\80\Tools\Binn
I hope this will help.

Shane
Have a look under B for Bristish English, not E for English British.
