Don't know about free tutorials (maybe someone else does) but you could try going through the Sybex exam study guides and doing the exercises given there for some good practice!!!

http://www.certtalk.com/ Has their own tutorials as well as links to many other certification and training sites. There's another site here http://www.mcmcse.com/forums/exams/ that offers some free tutorials and practice exams. I stumbled across these guys the other day but haven't had a chance to check them out yet.

Also you can have some books. This is one of my favorit Inside MS SQLServer by Kalen Delaney. But that one is not really for the beginner.
