    Job Title: SQL Server Database Administrator

     

    Location: Reston, VA

                                         

    BASIC FUNCTION

    Lead the design, development, deployment and maintenance of SQL Server 2000/2005 databases as well as modifying existing databases to support additional business requirements.

     

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

     

    • Design and develop data source interfaces.
    • Replicate operational tables into staging tables.
    • Maintain metadata repository
    • Implement processes to ensure data integrity and availability.
    • Communicate project status and escalate issues to management.
    • Assist with the development of training materials for deployment of data marts and reports.
    • MySQL knowledge is a plus.

     

    QUALIFICATIONS 

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
    • Experience with multiple database server environments and large (Terabyte) systems.
    • 4 years of database development and support experience.
    • SQL Server 2000/2005, DTS, Replication, Stored Procedures, Indexes, Triggers, Performance Tuning, Server Security.
    • The nature of the team’s dynamics will require an individual that is able to work closely in a collaborative role with other team members.
    • Foriegn language skills in Hindi a plus.
