Hi All,
Has anyone created a SQL Server dashboard or KPI.
We're starting to put together a chart for senior managers/directors but I'm not happy with the format of it.
If anyone has any examples of their dashboards or KPIs for SQL I'd love to hear from you.
Thanks

Are you looking for a dashboard for the SQL Server itself, or to display for application data in the database?
If it is for SQL Server, there are quite a few monitoring applications that create really nice and detailed dashboards for SQL Server. RedGate and SQLSentry are two topnotch apps for that.
If the dashboard is data related, you can look to SAP Business Objects along with several other vendors for dashboard specific applications.

Hi,
I'm looking for a general overview of the estate for senior management. There's no point telling them about latch waits or buffer cache hit ratios because they would neither care or understand.
I'm looking for something which a director would understand, such as Green if the system is ok, amber if there's a potential issue and red if there are live issues.
I've got the sort of data I need but I have no artistic skills so it just looks like a flat piece of data. I was wondering what other people have done to make it look more professional
