SQL Server Configuration Manager is not showing all running SQL Services

  • This is very frustrating. I want to setup some SQL Server startup parameters on a Windows Server 2008 64 bit, SQL Server 2008 R2 Enterprise 64 bit installation.

The SQL instance is operating without any issues, but when I go into SQL Server Configuration Manager and click on 'SQL Server Services', the only running service that displays is SQL Server Integration Services 10.0.

The little I have "googled" on this has not returned any promising solutions. I have verified that the WMI service (Windows Management Instrumentation) is started and is running as Local System as suggested.

Any other solutions that have worked would be much appreciated.

  • Did you get a solution to this?

I have a similar issue in that i can only see the SQL Server Browser and nothing else.
